11. Monte Molare (1444m) and Croce della Conocchia (1314m)

Traveling along the 300 from Monte Faito or from the Santuario di San Michele you will soon reach the junction with the 350 CAI path that leads to Monte Molare (1444m), while continuing you continue reaching the Croce della Conocchia (1314m).

Monte Molare is one of the most evocative places of the entire mountain complex of the Alta via dei Monti Lattari. Heaven on Earth. It is the highest peak in the Lattari Mountains, at an altitude of about 1444 meters, and is also known as Pizzo San Michele . It is part of a complex of 3 peaks called Sant’Angelo ai Tre Pizzi .

These paths to reach the two peaks are located near Vico Equense and offer panoramic views, they are very very short stretches for targeted excursions in the area and it is a route evaluated with a difficulty AND.

The trail is mainly used for hiking, walking, nature tours and bird watching. The route includes a 2-kilometer walk and a well-marked path.

The path from the Sanctuary to these two peaks is accessible to all and the end of the itinerary is wonderful. You will see Sorrento from afar: a little feast for the eyes. But not only. From the top it is possible to see Positano , the Sorrento Peninsula , Capri and the islands of the Gauls .
