Continuing along the path 300 CAI from Torca , after crossing the pine forest on the coast, you reach the Recommone Bay , a picturesque corner of the Amalfi Coast well protected from the wind.
Before going down to the beach, when you are still high in altitude, the main path splits at a crossroads. You have to leave the more comfortable path and go right towards the beach along the slightly dirtier path, this is the new route of the Alta Via towards the beach.
The most comfortable path left at the crossroads is the old path, it can be followed for simplicity but you reach a restaurant and it is not always possible to pass.
Finally you reach the Recommone beach where you can stop for a nice refreshment bath and stock up on water at the nearby fountain.
Along the cliff on the right there are two caves: the Recommone Cave (the largest) and the Fishermen’s Cave em>, particularly pleasant to visit by swimming or by boat to get some fresh air.
To continue the path you cross the small village with the boats left by the fishermen on the beach and then take the steps on the left and start a hard staircase. From here begins the path towards the Marina del Cantone and Nerano a>, a quarter of an hour on foot and you will reach the next stage.
If you only want to visit the beach, you can quickly reach it on foot from the path from Marine del Cantone or from sea connections, there are boat connections to Sorrento, Positano and Capri in the summer.
