The Alta Via dei Monti Lattari begins with the ascent towards the sanctuary of Avvocata on Monte Falerzio .
The path is very quiet and pleasant to walk up to the sanctuary and crosses chestnut groves overlooking wonderful landscapes on the Gulf of Salerno .
On the way up, you will find various springs where you can refuel and stop to rest. The first is the Capodacqua spring at 380m a.s.l. Continuing the climb you reach the halfway point to the sanctuary in Cappella Vecchia where it is a must to stop at the viewpoint over the Gulf of Salerno and Cetara with Mount Falerio in front of you.
Walking along the path, we continue alongside the columns of the Via Crucis that reach the summit. Almost towards the end, we reach the Acquafredda spring, also known as ‘ Scetate che è juorno’ , is a locality located near Monte dell’Avvocata. Last spring before reaching the Sanctuary of the Avvocata .
